What Changed Recently
This is the running record of what has changed around The Phone Casino: the promotions the operator is actually running, the UK rules that govern them, what the lobby is showing as new, and the corrections we have made on this site. Each entry names the source it came from, and nothing is added here unless it can be read back from the operator's own pages, the Gambling Commission or our own build notes.
Use the filters to narrow the list, or jump to a single month further down the page. The newest entries are first.

Six corrections logged and the guides rebuilt
Six factual corrections went live across the site on the same day: the welcome offer, the licence, the payment methods, the support hours, an unsourced RTP figure and the payout timing. Every page now carries Published, Updated and Checked dates, and new guides on demo mode, Reactoonz and Sugar Rush 1000 were published.

What the lobby was showing as new
The brand's own New rail listed The Lost Boys, Phoenix Reign of Horror, 9 Orbs of Gold, Chain Reaction Hold & Blitz, Gold Wired, Honey Bomb LuckyTap and Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 among its newest titles. The Popular rail was led by Big Bass Splash, Fluffy Favourites, Big Bass Bonanza, Eye of Horus and Fishin Frenzy.

Live tables come from Playtech, not from the studios the old pages named
The live casino section runs Playtech tables: Mega Fire Blaze Lucky Ball Live, Cash Collect Roulette Live and Sticky Bandits Roulette Live are all in the feed. Titles that earlier versions of these pages mentioned are not in the lobby at all, and those references have been removed.

The home page was rebuilt
The home page moved to a new layout: a single offer panel in the hero, square game cards, a provider row and a contents list under the hero. The text was kept, the design and the technical stack were replaced.

Drops & Wins network prizes run for a full year

The licence number on the register has moved to -025
The UK Gambling Commission public register shows account 39175 holding remote licence 039175-R-319452-025, active since 1 November 2014 for casino and bingo, with thephonecasino.com on the account's domain list. Older affiliate pages still quote the -018 suffix.

The welcome offer is ten free spins, not twenty
The banner, the promotion page and the bonus terms all state 10 free spins on Big Bass Splash for adding a valid debit card, with 10x wagering and a £50 conversion cap for a non-depositing account. Only a stale page title on the operator's own site still says twenty.

First statutory levy invoices fell due
The first levy year was billed on the period July 2024 to March 2025 multiplied by one and a third, invoiced on 1 September 2025 and payable before 1 October 2025. A licensee whose total bill is £10 or less pays nothing.

Players aged 18 to 24 got a lower stake cap
The maximum stake for an online slot dropped to £2 per spin for players aged 18 to 24, six weeks after the £5 cap took effect for everyone else. The Gambling Commission gives 21 May 2025 as the date it came into force.

Online slot stakes capped at £5 a spin
A statutory maximum of £5 per game cycle now applies to online slots for players aged 25 and over. The limit was made by statutory instrument on 25 February 2025 with a six-week lead-in; the Commission publishes 9 April 2025 as the date it applied from.

The statutory gambling levy came into force
The levy replaced voluntary donations. Remote casino, betting and bingo licensees pay 1.1% of gross gambling yield, land-based casinos and betting shops pay 0.5%, and the Gambling Commission collects it on an April to March year. It is charged on yield, not on what you stake.

Credit cards stopped working for gambling in Great Britain
Paying for gambling with a credit card has been banned for GB-licensed operators since April 2020, which is why the cashier here takes debit cards only. Gambling transactions also carry merchant category code 7995, so bank gambling blocks refuse them, including an incoming withdrawal.

The Categories We Track
Five things move often enough to be worth following, and each entry in the feed is tagged with one of them.
-
Promotions
What the Daily Wheel, Weekly Cashback, prize draws and seasonal tournaments pay, and the dates they run between. Promotions change more often than anything else on the site.
-
Licensing
Changes on the UK Gambling Commission register: the account, the licence number, the activities it covers and the domains listed against it.
-
Regulation
The UK rules that apply to every licensed operator, such as the statutory levy and the credit-card ban. They are not specific to this brand but they decide what it can offer you.
-
The lobby
What the New and Popular rails are showing, which studios supply the live tables, and which titles have come and gone.

This site
Our own changes: corrections, rebuilt pages and new guides. The full record of what we got wrong is on the corrections page.
Good to know: an entry dated "checked" rather than with a calendar date means the operator does not publish a start date for it. We date it the day we read the page instead of guessing.

What UK Players Are Asking About
Three questions come up more than any others around this brand, and all three trace back to pages that were out of date rather than to anything the casino did.
- Whether the welcome offer is ten spins or twenty. It is ten, and has been for some time. The confusion comes from a stale page title on the operator's own site, which still carries the older number while the banner, the promotion page and the bonus terms all say ten.
- Whether there is an app to download. There is not, and there never has been: the casino runs in the phone browser, with Face ID or fingerprint sign-in on supported handsets and a home-screen shortcut if you want one. Our mobile guide goes through it.
- Why a withdrawal has not arrived yet. Withdrawals sit in a 72 hour pending window before they are sent, then take one to three working days to reach the card, and a first withdrawal needs identity documents cleared first. The payments guide has the full sequence.
We do not reprint player reviews or quote individuals. Where a pattern in what people are asking is worth recording, it goes here in our own words, with the checkable answer next to it.
News and Updates FAQ
How often is this page updated?
Whenever something we can verify changes: a promotion starts or ends, the register entry moves, the lobby shifts, or we correct one of our own pages. There is no publishing schedule and no filler, so a quiet month is a short month on this page.
Where do these updates come from?
The operator's own promotion pages, bonus terms and FAQ, its lobby feed, the UK Gambling Commission public register and the Commission's own guidance. Each entry names its source underneath. Other review sites and forums are not used as sources.
Is there a feed I can subscribe to?
Yes. The same entries are published as an RSS feed at /news/updates.xml, which any feed reader will accept. It carries the same dates, titles and summaries as the list on this page.
Why are some entries dated "checked" instead of a real date?
Because the operator does not publish a start date for that item. Rather than invent one, we record the day we read the page. It tells you how fresh the information is without pretending to know when it changed.
Does an entry here mean the offer is still running?
Not necessarily. Promotions with a stated end date show it in the entry; the rest are accurate as at the date shown. Always check the terms in your account before you rely on a promotion, because the operator can change or withdraw one at any time.
Do you report problems as well as good news?
Yes, including our own mistakes. Six corrections to these pages are listed in the feed and set out in full on the corrections page, with what each page said before and what it says now.
What to Do Next
- 10 free spins
- No deposit
- 10x wagering
If an update above changed your mind about the casino, the live welcome offer is still the simplest way in: 10 free spins on Big Bass Splash, no deposit, 10x wagering and a £50 conversion cap, credited once a valid debit card is on the account.
